Happy Midsummer!
Today we are wishing we were in Sweden!
Celebrated between June 19-25 (depending on the part of the world), Midsummer occurs on or near the summer solstice, June 20, 2016 in the Northern Hemisphere.
You can bet we’ll be enjoying the extra daylight and the divine strawberry moon, before the nights start getting longer again.
It’s now prime pumpkin-growing season! Planting in June guarantees 75 to 100 frost-free days for pumpkins to mature.
It’s also now our six-month mark before Christmas, so as we are already fairly far along in our Halloween countdown, it’s time to start our second countdown of the year.
132 more days ’til Halloween
187 more days ’til Christmas
How will you be spending the longest day of the year? Let us know in the comments!
